You already have A2. Now it is time to go higher. UPGRADE is for motorcyclists with at least two years of Category A2 experience who want to move up to Category A. No additional training. No theory test. You show your skills where they matter — on the motorcycle.

How does UPGRADE work?
If you already have at least two years on A2, you do not need to complete another driving course. You take a special exam on the training ground and then in road traffic.
There is no theory test for the special Category A examination.
Before the exam, you need an application for a driving licence with a doctor’s confirmation of medical fitness.
You also need a statutory declaration of your A2 experience. Once the requirements are met, we will register you for the special examination.
